Good day,
Does anyone have experience with installing and using a second SIM card into your Volla Phone, particularly the X23?
My workplace is taking back their company-issued smartphones, and offering a subsidy for a Bring Your Own Device program. I'm trying to figure out:
a) if dual SIM functionality works in Canada (I'm currently with Koodo / Telus, and it seems to work fine with the one SIM, as I'm mostly in urban / near-urban areas east of and around Toronto);
b) which mode does the dual SIM functionality use: DSSS (Dual SIM Single Standby), DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby), or DSDA (Dual SIM Dual Active); and
c) if specific apps can be directed to only use one or the other SIM card? (or is there a way such that any single app can have different sources of data (i.e. work / personal) be routed through either of the two SIM's depending on use?)
My employer wants me to load MS Outlook and MS Teams onto the phone, and connecting to their servers via MS Authenticator The wrinkle is that I already fun MS Outlook app on the X23 for my own e-mail, contacts, etc.
It would also be great if I could direct voice calls to separate calling apps, again, routed through the separate SIM cards depending on use.
All of this would be running under VollaOS (so note that this is entirely distinct from Multi Boot, where I am not running any other operating systems).
Anyone can provide insight / their experience?
Thanks,
Dennis
