New Phone, NEITHER Koodo sim, nor PC Mobile can phone with Volla x23

Just got my new phone [volla, x23] in canada, inserted sim from last device, texting works, web is working, [working before set wifi], but dialer doesnt connect, incoming doesn ring.

Koodo [telus] lte provider

(EDIT no - dont take lack of comment as lack of problem)
Should I take from this lack of comment at all that
there is no ongoing problem with Canadian suppliers?

Neither PC Mobile nor Koodo work with Volla X23

BAD NEWS - Neither Koodo im card nor just purchased PC Mobile sim cards work in the volla x23.

PC Mobile was dismissive on making their sim card work, "just buy another phone"

Anyone know how to get resolution on this?

Telus Sim works. No ones answers why other Sims did not.

Considering checking the APN (Access Point Name) settings on your X23 -- they need to match what the carrier specifies currently. I am with Koodo (Telus) in the Greater Toronto Area, using an X23, and it works fine. (Koodo did issue an APN change a little while back, so users had to ensure the new settings were set on their mobiles).

Otherwise, carrier compatibility (i.e. which SIM cards will work) will depend as to whether the handset supports any particular carrier's broadcast frequencies. The manual for the X23 does list the frequency bands the handset can work with -- ensure the carrier you choose uses as many bands as the handset lists for the greatest compatibility.
