Volla Phone (GS290) with UT: impossible to OEM unlock!

Hi,

decided to flash a factory image onto the phone, UBports installer fails (hangs infinitely),

fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flashing unlock 

do the same thing: they are hanging forever with no feedback neither on the phone's screen, nor in the command line.
"Developer's mode" is enabled.

returns 1

Please provide the steps to unlock the bootloader!

Answering to myself.
There's a bug which is still there: using official Google macOS fastboot binary one can issue only one command, any further action just hangs.

I was struggling with how to unlock the bootloader for days, too.

Put the phone in maintenance mode (turn it on with Vol Up + Power buttons pressed), select "fastboot" from the on-screen menu, and plug your USB cable in to your PC. Run the command line from the Android SDK "platform-tools" folder on your connected PC and enter:

Then follow the phone's onscreen instructions (pull out your magnifying glass!), which was to press VOLUME UP to confirm "yes".

I don't know if it helped, but I also turned off the device locks (e.g. PIN and fingerprints) in the Security Settings beforehand.
